Lockdown and services - update 11/01/2021

Mainland Scotland is in lockdown from midnight 04/01/2021 with a legal requirement forbidding anyone from leaving their home except for essential purposes.

This current lockdown will affect what services we are able to safely provide.  We continue to review the Scottish Government Guidance and carry out our work, as required, to minimise risk for customers and staff.  As per government guidance only essential, emergency and urgent safety repairs are being undertaken during the current restrictions.  Extract from guidance -

Tradespeople should only go into a house to carry out or deliver essential work or services, for example:

·        to carry out utility (electricity, gas, water, telephone, broadband) safety checks, repairs, maintenance and installations

·        to carry out repairs and maintenance that would otherwise threaten the household’s health and safety

A letter from the Housing Minister was issued on 08 Jan 2021 and a copy is available here - Covid19 - Scottish Government letter 8th Jan 2021

We would ask everyone to follow the lockdown legal requirements and to stay home.
